How can I activate SpeedCommander on a USB stick?

The procedure depends on the SpeedCommander version you are using.

SpeedCommander 17 and newer

To ensure that SpeedCommander starts as a full version when launched from the USB stick, you must create a license file using the menu command Help | Product Activation | Create USB License File. Enter the path to the SpeedCommander directory on the USB stick and click Activate. The activation server creates a suitable license file for your USB stick with the name usblicense.dat, which is stored in the SpeedCommander directory on the USB stick. Please note that the number of USB sticks that can be activated is limited.

SpeedCommander 16 and older

If you want to use SpeedCommander on a USB stick, please create a new text file with a text editor and insert the following content:

KeyCode=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

Now replace Your Name with your name and XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX with your activation code. Then save the file under the name register.ini in the SpeedCommander program directory on the USB stick.
