Can I also encrypt the activation code on the USB stick?
The answer depends on the SpeedCommander version you are using.
SpeedCommander 17 and newer
Activation as a full version takes place via a license file that is generated specifically for the respective USB stick. Additional encryption is no longer necessary.
SpeedCommander 16 and older
You can also store your activation code in the register.ini file encrypted with a password. SpeedCommander will then ask for the password when it starts. Without the correct password, SpeedCommander will only start as a trial version. To encrypt, please use the program EncryptKeyCode.exe from the SpeedCommander program directory. Then enter the encrypted activation code in the register.ini as follows:
[register] RegOwner=Your name KeyCode2=Encrypted activation code
