Can I activate SpeedCommander without administrator rights?

The procedure depends on the SpeedCommander version you are using.

SpeedCommander 17 and newer

No administrator rights are required to activate SpeedCommander.

SpeedCommander 16 and older

The registration information is stored in the registration database, so activation can only be performed with administrator rights. If you do not have administrator rights, you can create a file called register.ini in the SpeedCommander directory and store the activation code in it. To do this, create a section called [register] and enter your activation code under KeyCode and your name under RegOwner.

The register.ini should then look like this:
